April Blog

April saw us continue to enhance our warehouse management functionality for Sage 200 to manage stock control and inventory management in a private hospital.   stockcontrolwarehouse

And we took another order for a second warehouse management linked to Sage 200 for a large manufacturing site.

This solution will use Wi-Fi barcode handhelds to book and move stock from location to location, leading to better stock management and reduced labour requirement on stock functions.

Other Sage 200 clients are embracing the long-awaited new Sage 200 2015, and we expect to hear their feedback over the coming weeks, as to how they find it.

In terms of functionality, we expect the improvements and enhancements to be popular welcome additions.

Additionally, we would encourage anyone who is interested in upgrading from Sage 50 to Sage 200, to get in touch so we can organise a free consultancy and product demo.

We are due to deploy two new Sage 200 2015 sites next  month in Dublin and Galway.

Last month (March) saw DB and Sage Ireland sharing a stand at the ISEC 2015 Security and Fire Expo show hosted at the Citywest in Dublin by Riskmanager.ie.

It was a well-organised and well-attended event, and a great opportunity to directly meet and engage prospective clients.

And so April has been all about following up with companies who showed an interest and took the opportunity to look at our Integrated Service Management solution using Sage CRM.

Our ISM solution has been adopted by clients to streamline their service requirements and eliminate paper dockets with Android and Apple Tablets.

Particularly handy for companies whose bread and butter is security installations, who are using Sage 50. And who happen to be looking for a PSA-approved solution to reduce paperwork and time spent on data input /administration.

Additionally, our very first Remote Rep site for Sage 50 is a month old, and processing five remote professional sales people. A couple of other sites are nearly ready to launch. Not only order entry but the remote rep will also be able to see balance enquiries, stock numbers, offers on quantity breaks, recall last orders, and so on.

windows-server-2003-end-of-lifeThis solution is ideal for busy professionals who are on the road and who need information quickly.  Remote Rep is APP compatible with both Android and Apple Tablets.

And finally, if there are any companies or businesses out there who are still using Windows Server 2003 software, you are probably already aware that Microsoft will no longer support this product beyond July 2015, and that the associated implications include network vulnerability to viruses and other malicious attacks.

Should you be perhaps unsure what software your server is actually running, or you would simply like to avail of a system/network health check, do get in touch with the team at DB and we will organise for a consultancy with one of our team of hardware and network experts.

If you have a need for a process improvement with your Sage 200, Sage 50 or Sage CRM packages , or would like more information on our Remote Rep or barcode solution, or for that matter, any of our range of plug-ins or add-ons for Sage, feel free to call us on 061 480980 or email info@dbcomp.ie
