January is an unusually busy month this year as people go live with new accounts packages.
Apart from new installs this month, we have also seen existing Sage 200 and Sage 50 accounts users add more options to make their packages more efficient. Sage Integration solutions are really helping companies streamline business processes. In Cork we helped a Sage 50 user add Sage 50 Manufacturing to assist them streamline their manufacturing reports and get their stock levels just in time.
This has also been a month of invoice document management. We are helping two existing Sage 200 clients interface their preferred software supplier (s) link in with their workflow. This is to automatically allocate their PO and provide PO authorisation of scanned in PO’s.
Additionally, we completed the first installation of Paperless Europe in Ireland for an existing Sage 50 client in Shannon. The process will help the client scan in invoices and allow remote authorisation of them for payment plus allocation, allowing them to be more flexible and efficient.
On our IT services side we are continuing to replace existing Windows Server 2003 clients with upgrades to their servers with the end of life of server 2003. With the new installation we are seeing more clients migrate their mail from on premise mail servers to Microsoft 365 and online backup. Although hybrid cloud solutions are viable for many SME’s, for some of our larger clients we are configuring failover Hyper V servers for mission critical databases.
Sage released the beta of Sage 200 2015 and our consultants have been looking under the hood. What we have noticed is that Sage are making the product more like Sage 50 in look and feel. The new BI reports and new reporting features are major upgrade on Sage 2013 and this alone will make this a worthwhile upgrade for existing Sage 200 clients.
And, as if all that wasn’t enough, we’ve had year end and quarter end accounts to process! Hectic!
