Solstice Greetings!! Summer is finally here along with the latest release of Sage 200 Extra 2016 and we eventually got some decent weather too. Hopefully, there will be more of the same on the way soon!
Ireland is sport mad at the moment – not least with the rugby ; Connacht won the Pro 12, the senior side are kicking ass on tour in South Africa, and the junior players are doing even better at the world U20 tournament in Manchester, having defeated the Kiwis.
On the GAA scene, the All-Ireland qualifiers are underway , and whilst Cork, Limerick and Clare lick their respective wounds, the Munster final between Tipperary and Waterford looms on the horizon.
Then there is footy fever, with the Euro 2016 soccer tournament underway in France.
Whilst the Russians, Polish and the English were throwing chairs, the Irish fans were having the craic with the Belgian and Swedish supporters, and Michael O’Neill’s Norn Iron look likely to join Wales in the knockout stages even if Ireland don’t quite make it – to beat Italy, as they say in the punditry circles, is a “big ask”.
As usual, Germany, Spain, Italy and France will be thereabouts but watch out for a few upsets as a record 24 teams go head to head and the likes of Croatia and Slovakia have some decent players!
The winner of the DB Euro sweepstake and prizes will be announced next month. Mike is happy at getting Germany, Elaine got England, the boss got Wales but Denis is apparently not overly impressed at getting Albania!
Different organisations use Sage software in different ways.
Not a right way or a wrong way, just differently.
So whether it’s Sage 200, and batch control, traceability and BOM/Manufacturing are the key aspects to your business.
Or whether it’s Sage 50, and nominal ledger, invoicing, and purchasing are crucial elements.
Or let’s say you are involved in service management and would like to deploy Sage CRM to track and integrate the work schedules and call outs directly with your invoicing.
There are many ways in which we can facilitate getting the most out of your current Sage package.
Or maybe your company is just looking for Sage Training, or Sage Support. If your support is up for renewal, call us for a quote and get some competitive rates.
As an Irish SME ourselves, DB understand the regular pains of getting paid on time, ordering stock at the right time, and balancing the books.
Over the last couple of months, we have welcomed on board at least ten new clients, all Irish companies who have joined us and with whom we look forward to helping to get the most out of their Sage investment.
Particularly those clients who have committed to investing in the latest release of Sage 200 2016.
Sage 200 2015 was a landmark version release which delivered a brand new modern user interface and introduced a wealth of new features to the solution. Evidently, the 2016 version looks set to build on the solid foundations put in place by 2015 with the introduction of more new or enhanced functionalities and features.
The new software delivers on the Sage vision of an intuitive solution of flexible, integrated applications and services, that provide an excellent user experience.
With that in mind, Sage 200 Extra 2016 has new key themes:
- Sage Integrated Payments – including Bank Feeds and Sage Pay under the ‘Get Paid Faster’ campaign allows greater control of cash flow.
- Sales, Marketing and Service for Sage 200 (formerly known as CRM) – a brand new connector simplifying the integration between Sage 200 and Sage CRM. A lighter integration with the ability to upgrade products independently of each other, giving the customer a far greater experience whilst reducing the cost of entry.
- User experience enhancements – including new bank reconciliation, improved sales order processing and time limited price bands – all based on direct customer feedback
Sage say: “Sage 200 Extra 2016 has been built on direct customer feedback with customers telling us that getting cash into their business is key and that ease of use and becoming more productive on a daily basis is what matters to them. In addition, a new CRM connector and new features that are available on flexible, annual subscriptions give customers a lower cost of entry.“
